When the EU was established, it had four basic principles: refusal of war, subsidiarity, solidarity, and inclusion, says Antonio De Robertis, professor at the University of Bari. According to him, Today’s challenges are in a high degree related to the abandoning of these principles, and first of all – inclusivity as the fundament of creating a collective security system.
