Debates on the United States Midterm Elections
Valdai Discussion Club Conference Hall, Bolshaya Tatarskaya 42, Moscow, Russia
List of speakers

On November 6, at 16:30, the Valdai Club conference hall will host debates on the midterm Congress elections taking place the same day.

The US-Russian relations are at a record low since the Cold War. The upcoming midterms can hardly change the situation for the better. But it depends on the winner, who will be decided on the first Tuesday of November, whether bipartisan consensus on containing Russia will strengthen and if new economic sanctions can be avoided. Outcomes of American elections tend to be very unexpected and the next vote can confirm this trend.

What are the prospects of the US-Russia relations after the elections? Are there any chances to overcome the numerous contradictions? These and many other issues will be addressed by the discussion participants.
