TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Websites (website) – The Internet sites operated by the Valdai Discussion Club Foundation accessible at: valdaiclub.com, ru.valdaiclub.com, edu.valdaiclub.com.
Valdai Club Foundation – The Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club (Legal address: 127051, Moscow, internal territory of the Meshchansky municipal district, Tsvetnoy Blvd., 16/1, floor 1; OGRN: 1117799004993, INN 7704300010, KPP 770201001).
User – an individual (personal data subject) who uses the Website for its functional purpose. Within the framework of this Policy, a User is a person visiting the Website for the purpose of viewing Content; a person filling out the feedback form in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/ or https://valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/, as well as a person undergoing accreditation in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/pressroom/ and https://valdaiclub.com/pressroom/.
Personal data (PD) – any information relating directly or indirectly to a specific or determinable individual (subject of personal data).
Personal data processing – any action (operation) or set of actions (operations) performed with or without the use of automation tools with personal data, including the collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, modification), extraction, use, transfer (distribution, provision, access), depersonalisation, blocking, deletion, and destruction of personal data.
Content – photo, video and audio materials posted on the Website.
Cookies – small data files related to personal data stored in the browser of a computer, mobile phone or other device after the User visits the Websites.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1 This Policy outlines the principles of personal data processing by the Valdai Club Foundation, carried out on the Websites, and includes actions related to non-disclosure and ensuring the protection of the privacy of personal data provided by the User.
1.2 This Policy has been developed in accordance with the Federal Law “On Personal Data” No. 152-FZ dated July 27, 2006.

1.4 In the event of disagreement with the terms of these Rules, the User shall undertake to stop using the Websites.

1.6 Personal data processed in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/pressroom/ or https://valdaiclub.com/pressroom/include the following data that is mandatory to fill in: last name, first name, middle name, place of work (name of organisation), position, email address, telephone number.
1.7 Personal data processed in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/ or https://valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/ include the following data that is mandatory to fill in: name, email address.
1.8 The collection and processing of Cookies is regulated by Section 5 of this Policy.
1.9 Consent to the processing of Personal Data in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/, https://valdaiclub.com/about/contacts/, https://ru.valdaiclub.com/pressroom/ or https://valdaiclub.com/pressroom/ within the framework of this Policy, is the User’s action to check the box “I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Personal Data Processing Policy and hereby consent to the processing of my personal data”.
1.10 Consent to the processing of Personal Data (for this clause, personal data includes cookies) for Users using the Website to view Content is the use of the Websites and the performance of actions available to the User with the Content.
1.11 Providing consent for the processing of the User’s Personal Data is a voluntary action of the User. Confirmation of the provision of consent to the processing of personal data will be the User’s action specified in paragraph 1.9. or 1.10. of this Policy.
1.12 The rights to the Websites as a whole and to the use of network addresses contained in the domain name belong to the Valdai Club Foundation.
2. LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
2.1 The legal basis for the processing of personal data is a set of regulatory legal acts, pursuant to which and in accordance with which the Valdai Club Foundation processes personal data, including:

The Tax Code of the Russian Federation;

Law of the Russian Federation of 27.12.1991 No. 2124-1 “On Mass Media”;
And other regulatory legal acts governing relations related to the activities of the Operator.
2.2. The legal basis for processing personal data is also:
the Charter of the Valdai Club Foundation;
agreements concluded between the Valdai Club Foundation and personal data subjects;
consent of personal data subjects to the processing of their personal data.
3. RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES, PURPOSES OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA.
The main rights and obligations of the Valdai Club Foundation:
3.1.1. The Valdai Club Foundation has the right to:
receive reliable information containing personal data from the User;
independently determine the composition and list of measures necessary and sufficient to ensure the fulfilment of obligations stipulated by the Law on Personal Data and regulatory legal acts adopted in accordance with it, unless otherwise provided by the Law on Personal Data or other federal laws;
in the event of the personal data subject’s withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data, the Operator has the right to continue processing personal data without the consent of the personal data subject if there are grounds specified in the Law on Personal Data.
3.1.2. The Valdai Club Foundation is obliged to:
process personal data in the manner prescribed by the current legislation of the Russian Federation;
consider the User’s (his/her legal representative’s) requests regarding the processing of personal data and provide reasoned responses;
take measures to clarify or destroy the User’s personal data in connection with his/her (his/her legal representative’s) request with legal and justified demands;
organise the protection of personal data in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Basic rights and obligations of Users:
3.1.3. Users have the right:
to receive full information about their personal data processed by the Valdai Club Foundation;
to access their personal data, including the right to receive a copy of any record containing their personal data, except in cases stipulated by law;
to clarify their personal data, block it or destroy it in cases where the personal data is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, illegally obtained or is not necessary for the stated purpose of processing;

to revoke consent to the processing of personal data;
to take measures provided by law to protect their rights;
to exercise other rights provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
3.1.4. Users are obliged to:
provide the Valdai Club Foundation with reliable data about themselves;
notify the Valdai Club Foundation about clarification (update, change) of their personal data, for the possibility of accreditation in the sections https://ru.valdaiclub.com/pressroom/ or https://valdaiclub.com/pressroom/.
3.1.5. Users who have provided the Valdai Club Foundation with false information about themselves or information about another personal data subject without the latter's consent shall be held liable in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
4. PURPOSES OF COLLECTING AND PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA OF WEBSITE USERS
4.1.1. Personal data is processed by the Valdai Club Foundation for the following purposes:

· control and improvement of the quality of services and functionality of the Websites;
· collection of anonymised information about the actions of Users on the Websites in order to improve the quality of the Websites and the content of the Websites.
5. TERMS OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
5.1 List of actions performed by the Valdai Club Foundation with personal data: collection, systematisation, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, modification), use, distribution, transfer, blocking, destruction, as well as the implementation of any other actions in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
5.2. The Valdai Club Foundation carries out the automated processing of personal data with or without the receipt and/or transfer of the received information via information and telecommunications networks.
5.3. The User decides to provide his/her personal data and gives Consent freely, of his/her own free will and in his/her own interests.
5.4. Consent may be revoked by written notice sent to the Valdai Club Foundation by e-mail at: admin@valdaiclub.com.
5.5. The source of information about all personal data of the User is the User himself/herself.
5.6. The Valdai Club Foundation takes the necessary organisational and technical measures to protect the User’s personal information from unauthorised or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, distribution, as well as from other illegal actions of third parties.
5.7. The period of processing personal data is limited to achieving the stated goal. In case of a loss of the need to achieve the stated goal, personal data are subject to destruction. The destruction of personal data is carried out within the timeframes established by law upon receipt of the withdrawal of consent from the subject. In the event that the Valdai Club Foundation receives an application from the User to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data, the Valdai Club Foundation stops processing the User’s personal data from the date specified in the application, but not earlier than the date following the date of actual receipt of the revocation.
5.8. The storage of Users’ Personal Data is carried out exclusively via electronic media and processed using automated systems, except for cases when non-automated processing of personal data is necessary in connection with the implementation of legal requirements. When collecting and storing personal data, the Valdai Club Foundation uses databases and servers located in the Russian Federation.
5.9. When processing personal data, the Valdai Club Foundation takes the necessary legal, organisational and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorised or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, provision, the distribution of personal data, as well as from other illegal actions in relation to personal data. At the same time, the Valdai Club Foundation does not disclose information on specific means and methods used to ensure the information security of personal data in order to ensure an appropriate level of protection of personal data in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
5.10. If the User has made his/her personal data or some of it available to an unlimited number of persons, the Valdai Club Foundation has the right not to process such personal data and is not responsible for them.
6. MODIFICATION AND DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL DATA
6.1. In the event of confirmation of the fact of inaccuracy of personal data or illegality of their processing, personal data are subject to updating, or their processing must be terminated.
6.2. The fact of inaccuracy of personal data or illegality of their processing may be established either by the User or by the competent state bodies of the Russian Federation.
6.3. Upon written request of the User or his/her representative, the Valdai Club Foundation shall provide information on the processing of personal data of the specified User – the personal data subject. Such a request must contain the number of the main document certifying the identity of the subject of personal data and his/her representative, as well as a document confirming the representative’s rights to receive such data, information on the date of issue of the specified document and the body that issued it, and the signature of the subject of personal data or his/her representative.
6.4. If the User’s request does not reflect all the necessary information or the User does not have the rights to access the requested information, then a reasoned refusal is sent to him/her.
6.5. In accordance with the procedure specified in paragraph 5.3, the User has the right to demand that the Valdai Club Foundation clarify his/her personal data, block it or destroy it if the personal data is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, illegally obtained or is not necessary for the stated purpose of processing, and also to take measures provided by law to protect his/her rights.
6.6. Upon achieving the purposes of processing personal data, as well as in the event of the User’s withdrawal of Consent, the personal data is subject to destruction.
7. COOKIES
7.1. The Valdai Club Foundation uses cookie technology on its Websites.
7.2. A cookie is a text file that is placed on the User’s device (computer or mobile device) when visiting the Websites of the Valdai Club Foundation. It helps the Websites of the Valdai Club Foundation to recognise the User’s device the next time the Websites are visited.
7.3. The cookie stores the following information about the User:

8. ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING SERVICES USED
8.1. The Valdai Club Foundation uses the Yandex.Metrica service to collect information about the use of the Websites, such as the frequency of visits to the Websites by Users, the pages visited, and the sites that Users visited before coming to this Website.
8.2. Yandex.Metrica places a persistent cookie in the user's web browser to identify them as a unique user the next time they visit the Websites. This cookie cannot be used by anyone other than Yandex respectively. Information collected using the cookie may be transferred to and stored on Yandex servers.

9. FINAL PROVISIONS
9.1. All relations concerning the processing of personal data that are not reflected in this Policy are regulated in accordance with the provisions of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
9.2. The Valdai Club Foundation has the right to make changes to this Policy. When making changes, the date of the last update is indicated in the current version.
9.3. The new version of the Policy shall enter into force from the moment it is posted on the Website in the section https://ru.valdaiclub.com/docs/policy/ or https://valdaiclub.com/docs/policy/, unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Policy.
9.4. This Policy is valid for an indefinite period, and in terms of the User’s consent to the processing of PD – until it is revoked by the User by sending a corresponding notice in the manner prescribed by this Policy, as well as until the end of the processing period established by this Policy.
