Ruslan Yunusov

Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Quantum Center, Head of the Project Office on Quantum Technologies, Rosatom State Corporation.

He did his PhD studies in the N.M. Emanuel Institute of Biochemical Physics RAS and got his PhD degree in Physics at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. He also earned a PhD degree in economics at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

He gained extensive experience in the high technology sector and the oil industry working as the CFO and the CEO of companies operating in the field of investment.

Russian Quantum Center (RQC) has become an innovation ecosystem where fundamental research and startup companies come together. The center received about 1.3 B RUB – the largest private investment to a scientific organisation in the modern history of Russia.

Specialists of the center develop ultra-sensitive sensors, optical microcavities, elements of quantum computers (qubits), as well as systems of quantum cryptography, etc. In 2016, the center became the first in Russia to launch an absolutely secure connection in commercial lines. RQC developed the country's first multi-node quantum network and the world's first quantum blockchain (2017).
