Valdai Discussion Club and ISRS Sign a Cooperation Agreement

On November 10, 2019, on the sidelines of the 10th Valdai Club Asian Conference in Samarkand, a ceremony was held to sign a cooperation agreement between the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club and  the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS).

The document was signed by Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club and the  ISRS Director Eldor Aripov.

In particular, the parties expressed their desire to work together on the formation of a global agenda, an objective assessment of world political and economic processes, and strengthening ties between the intellectual elites of Russia and Uzbekistan, as well as Central Asia as a whole.

According to  the agreement, the achievement of these goals is possible through meetings with experts, forums, conferences, the publication of joint researches, the exchange of visits by representatives of the intellectual elite and expert communities. Holding a joint conference in Samarkand seems to be the first step towards developing relations between experts of the two countries.

An effective dialogue between the parties should be served to an exchange of information on current trends in such areas as international relations, global politics, economics, security, energy, sociology, communications.
