THE EASTERN PERSPECTIVE
Eurasia: Developing Mutually Beneficial Partnership

The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and China are trying to establish a favorable environment for prosperity of the peoples of the vast region of the world, especially for the development of medium-sized countries such as Kyrgyzstan.

But, on the other hand, it is also clear that the main provisions of the National Sustainable Development Strategy for Kyrgyzstan, regarding, first of all, problems of energy, food, financial and investment security must be tightly integrated and involved into the "Eurasian project."

The "coupling" of the Eurasian projects as the established channel and mechanism of large and multilateral compromise probably should move on the constructed strategic track, which might lead Eurasia, at least its northern part, to the following formation of:

First, the collective management system of economic development of the region, not isolated from other countries, international organizations and development/cooperation programs;

Second, the necessary conditions for sustainable and dynamic development of economies of the countries in the region;

Third, the collective security system able to counter effectively the current and future challenges;

Fourth, a set of rules and standards of international behavior and collaboration, not contrary to international law, customs and traditions.

The promotion of the beneficial cooperation solutions should be carried out not only in the framework of bilateral consultations and negotiations between heads of state and heads of various departments, involved in the process of the "Greater Eurasia" project, but also by those international organizations, often mentioned by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. General Secretaries of CIS, CSTO and SCO hold their meetings annually to discuss various issues of partnership, and exchange views on international issues of mutual interest. And this common interest is obviously focused on the Eurasian continent. Moreover, to date the SCO developed a very good working relationship with ASEAN.

It appears that an annual conference with the participation of the General Secretaries of CIS, EAEC, SCO and ASEAN could contribute to the further alignment of the space of consultations in a sense of partnership in the vast region.
