In his interview Dr. Huang Jing discusses the future of economic order in Asia Pacific provided the initiation of the TPP agreement. He claims that it will not result in fragmentation of the region, and eventually there will be a merge between the TPP and China. He also suggests that Russia should take a more positive stance towards the TPP and open itself to the economic order emerging in the Pacific. He also discusses the role and place of Russia, particular Siberia and the Far East, in Asian and Pacific economy, and what should Russia do in order to benefit from the Asian economic growth and implement its strategy of “pivot” to the Asia Pacific successfully.
