In order to avoid fake news, people should have more trust to traditional media with its thorough procedures of fact checking, Hiroki Sugita, Executive Director, Kyodo News, says. Inaccurate information is not always ‘fake news’, because this notion implies an intention to influence someone’s thinking. He also discusses the question of whether the AI could supplant the human beings in media. The answer is “no”, because the AI lacks a “human touch” and the ability of telling compelling stories.
