Over the past decades the world is undergoing major transformation. Globalization spreads over regional blocs and "partnerships". The most important of them could become Transatlantic and Transpacific partnerships. The role of universal institutions is being reduced. What contribution to the emergence of regional formations belongs to big business - multinational corporations? Can we say, that the emergence of "partnerships" means the return of big bucks in world politics? On the other side of the Atlantic Europe is experiencing dramatic internal changes. Germany, the largest and most economically significant country of the European Union, bears a major responsibility. Alan Cafruny, leading American foreign affairs expert and Professor of Hamilton College, answers these questions during the Valdai Talks interview.
