On December 7–8, the Valdai Discussion Club hosts the 12th Asian Conference, titled “Russia and Asia in a Changing World Order”. The title of the second session, which took place on December, 7, is “Asia-Pacific or Indo-Pacific: Multilateral Cooperation in Asia in the Light of New Initiatives and Alliances?” Thomas Daniel, Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy and Security Studies, Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia; Nelson Wong, Vice Chairman, Shanghai Centre for RimPac Strategic and International Studies; Alexei Kupriyanov, Head of the Group on South Asia and Indian Ocean of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies, Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO); Viktor Sumsky, Leading Expert, ASEAN Center,MGIMO University, participated.
