On November 11, the fifth session of the 16th Asian Conference of the Valdai Discussion Club, organized in partnership with the Ankara Institute, took place in Istanbul, Turkey. The title of the session was “BRICS and Global (Dis)Order: What Is on Offer?” The participants discussed what BRICS offers. Does it present a cohesive model for a new multilateralism? How does it navigate internal divergences and external pressures? And what role can it play in stabilizing – or reshaping – the global system?
