The considerable store of global problems is linked to a fundamental inequality, including where access to resources is concerned. Although it is postulated that everyone has the right to equal access to resources (an imperative of global ethics), the real situation is much more complicated. In many cases, the right to equal access is nothing more than a figment of the imagination.
