What is the potential for interaction between traditional Eurasian partners within the North – South Corridor in free trade, technological cooperation and joint creation of new digital platforms? On June 3, this was discussed within the framework of SPIEF-2021 by the participants of the session “Eurasian Regional Partnership in the Post-Covid Era”, moderated by Fyodor Lukyanov, Research Director of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai International Discussion Club.

What is the place of creative industries in the global economy? How is the creative sector in Russia funded? On June 4, participants of the Forbes business breakfast, titled “Creative Economy. Dialogue on a new cross-industrial reality ”, which took place within the framework of SPIEF-2021. Andrey Bystritsky, Chairman of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club, took part in the discussion.

We live in two worlds — real and virtual. The online world is borderless, and it is not clear whether the same laws should apply to it as offline, or if it can exist according to its own rules, without relying on accepted international and national norms. Is there any place, for example, for the right to privacy? Participants of the Valdai Club session, which was held on June 3 within the framework of SPIEF-2021, spoke about virtual (in)violability.

In recent years, the idea has taken root that sanctions, or rather unilateral restrictive measures, have become the “new normal” in modern international relations. However, while these measures have the most negative consequences for the economy and social sphere of the target countries, they also contribute to the destabilisation of the system of international relations and the world market. The first session of the Valdai Discussion Club at SPIEF-21 was devoted to the adaptation of states, societies and business to this unhealthy reality.
