Sanctions Against Myanmar: Struggle for Democracy and Human Rights or Geopolitics?
The situation in Myanmar has become a “test for the Biden administration,” as it forced it to choose between geopolitical and ideological interests. So far, Biden has chosen the former, seeking to be consistent in his human rights policies at home and abroad and to meet the expectations of the electorate.
