Spent a career working in public office and business. Previous roles in government included positions in the British Prime Minister’s office as Director of Strategic Communications, as well as periods as a Special Adviser in the Department of Trade & Industry and the Cabinet Office. Work in business included time as a senior executive at The Guardian newspaper. Co-founded a digital media business in Russia in 2006 which was subsequently merged with Rambler in 2013. In his current role he advises multi-nationals on business development opportunities in international markets, including Russia and the CIS. He has written in the international media on political and economic affairs. He is based in London and travels to Russia on a regular basis.
