Photo Gallery: Situation on the Korean Peninsula. An Expert Discussion

On July 27, the Valdai Club hosted an expert discussion on the situation on the Korean Peninsula. The discussion was timed to coincide with the release of a Valdai Club report: “The Return of History: Cold War Lessons for Current International Crises”. Gleb Ivashentsov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea (2005–2009), Vice President of RIAC; Andrey Kulik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea; Ilya Dyachkov, Associate Professor at the Department of Japanese, Korean, Indonesian and Mongolian Languages, MGIMO, Russian Foreign Ministry, RIAC expert; Gu Ho Eom, Director of Asia-Pacific Center, Professor of Graduate School of International Studies at Hanyang University, participated. The discussion was moderated by Andrey Sushentsov, Programme Director of the Valdai Discussion Club, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, MGIMO (co-author of the report).
