Valdai Club

The 2nd day of the 10th Asian Conference of the Valdai Discussion Club was dedicated to the challenges that the countries of Central Asia face and to resolving the issues affecting regional cooperation. The discussion was held on condition of anonymity, in accordance with Chatham House rules.

As part of the 10th Asian Conference, held by the Valdai Discussion Club in partnership with the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS), a special session was held on Russian-Uzbek relations.

The conference is devoted to a vital issue such as the opportunities for multilateral cooperation in Central Asia and on the entire Eurasian space in the context of global threats and challenges. You have to consider various aspects of the activities of existing regional associations, assess the current state and prospects of integration processes, as well as the potential of interstate cooperation in many areas.

The 10th Asian Conference of the Valdai Discussion Club in Samarkand will undoubtedly help strengthen existing direct contacts and establish new ones between the expert and analytical communities of our countries. I hope such meetings will become a regular occurrence.

On November 10, 2019, on the sidelines of the 10th Valdai Club Asian Conference in Samarkand, a ceremony was held to sign a cooperation agreement between the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club and  the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS). The document was signed by  Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club and the  ISRS Director Eldor Aripov.
