On October 15, the Valdai Discussion Club Award ceremony took place in Sochi as part of the 15th Annual Meeting of the Club.

The Valdai Discussion Club Award recognizes outstanding contributions to explaining and promoting understanding of changes that are taking place in global politics through academic papers, public appearances or research and education projects on key global development issues and international relations.
Individual authors as well as teams of contributors and expert groups can become laureates of the Award.
During the Award ceremony, the most active Valdai Club experts will be awarded the Special Badge of Honour.
