Timothy Colton on Resignation of John Bolton

John Bolton’s resignation from the post of US National Security Adviser was because of his disagreements with Donald Trump on the issues of Iran and the DPRK, and his eagerness to use military force, suggests Timothy Colton, Professor of Government and Russian Studies, Harvard University. “The lesson that I would take away is that for the time being, Trump is not inclined to any adventures in foreign policy. We have seen this in recent weeks vis-à-vis Iran. You might have expected the United States to use force in these circumstances, but they have not done so”.
