On February 17, the Ninth Middle East Conference of the Valdai Discussion Club was opened and four sessions held. One of them featured Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov, who read the greeting of Sergey Lavrov.
The conferences is held in in partnership with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It features more than 50 political actors and experts from 20 countries.
This year, the conference is dedicated to the topic “Middle East in a Time of Change: Towards New Stability Architecture” and focused on regional architecture and the changes that 2020s may bring to it.
