The concept of “civilisation-state” is increasingly being used in foreign policy discourse. The participants of the second session of the Valdai Discussion Club expert dialogue in partnership with Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University discussed if a dialogue between civilisations is possible, what competing concepts of civilisations are relevant, and what does constituting “a civilisational state” mean for Russia.
