On May 31, the Third Youth Conference of the Valdai—New Generation Project opened in St. Petersburg. The conference kicked off a series of events held by the Valdai Discussion Club in St. Petersburg from May 31 to June 4, aimed at fostering discussion on the challenges of intensifying interstate rivalry and the search for opportunities for cooperation in a multipolar world. Participants of the first session, titled “Major Regions in the Context of the Globalisation Crisis”, discussed the role of major interconnected regions play in forging a new and uncertain global security order.
