The Valdai Discussion Club held its Third Youth Conference in St. Petersburg from May 31 to June 1. This year, it brought together over 30 participants of the Valdai—New Generation Project, including Russian and international experts, young professionals, postgraduate students, and graduates of leading universities in international relations from Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Russia, and Turkey.

Valdai Discussion Club Holds Its Third Youth Conference

From May 31 to June 1, 2026, St. Petersburg hosted the Valdai Discussion Club’s third youth conference. This year, young researchers from Brazil, India, Italy, China, Colombia, the Republic of Korea, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Russia took part. All had been actively engaged in the programme over the past year, publishing their own commentaries on the club’s website and contributing to the final report and the conference programme.

Beyond the Pattern: The World of Real Multipolarity

This report is the second collective work produced by participants in the Valdai—New Generation1 project, bringing together, in a shared intellectual endeavour, a large cohort of young—yet already accomplished—researchers from Russia, China, India, Brazil, Tajikistan, Italy, Colombia, Turkey, and the Republic of Korea. Over the course of a year, all of them prepared and published original commentaries on the Valdai Club’s website, addressing the most pressing issues in today’s world. They subsequently collaborated, as part of five working groups, in drafting the report’s collective chapters.
