On September 30, 2016, the Valdai Discussion Club will hold a panel discussion titled "The State of Russia-West Relations and Prospects for the Future ", which will be attended by distinguished scholars, former government officials and diplomats from the USA and European countries. They will discuss the fundamental problems of Russia's relationship with the US and EU, as well as vital issues of Russia-West relations and their prospects in the context of the US presidential elections and current processes in the European Union. The discussion will take place in the framework of the First Annual conference of the University Consortium, which will be held in the HSE on September 30 – October 1, 2016. Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club, will open discussion.
