The main issue that prevents the improvement of relations between Russia and the US is the Ukrainian problem concerning Donbass, Timothy Colton, Professor of Government and Russian Studies, Harvard University, suggests. According to the expert, “it is quite possible that if the current flow vis-à-vis Donbass continues, and eventually some way forward is found on that issue, that might be another President, and not Donald Trump, who will address the issue of relations with Russia.”
