Shershulsky: Robots will have to be taught ethics, morals and laws

Vladislav Shershulsky, Technology Policy Director at Microsoft Russia, talks about the development of robots and artificial intelligence in the future. He noted the importance of a strategic approach to technological development in the future, which accounts for the issues that were not foreseen in the past.

According to Shershulsky, there are two types of issues: those of ordinary people and those of developers. Ordinary people will increasingly accept robots as being similar to themselves on a domestic level. Shershulsky does not consider this a bad thing, as it allows one to define the rights and responsibilities ofrobots. For developers, the main issue is implementing these principles, particularly when it comes to adherence to ethics, morals and written laws.
