The experts discussed the situation in Libya and Russia's role in the process of political settlement of the conflict. The participants covered the progress in the intra-Libyan negotiations, as well as the prospects for the visit to Moscow of Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj. Moreover, possible fight against ISIS (banned in the Russian Federation) on the territory of Libya is also planned to be discussed.
Lev Dengov, head of Russia's Contact Group for Intra-Libyan Settlement, also took part in the discussion.
Vasily Kuznetsov, head of the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences is moderator of the discussion.
