“At the time being, the relations between Qatar and other Gulf monarchies stabilized, but the country’s previous government was too ambitious and tended to forget that Qatar remains a small country next to a much bigger country – Saudi Arabia, with which it has historical problems,” says Anatol Lieven, Professor, Georgetown University in Qatar.
