On April 25, 2016, the Executive Board of the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club held a meeting with Yerlan Karin, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan (KazISS). During the meeting the Foundation and the Institute signed a Cooperation agreement "for the establishment of mutually beneficial relations between the scientific and expert communities of Russia and Kazakhstan."
