By the number of adherers, Islam occupies in Russia the second place after Christianity. Belonging to 40 different ethnic groups, the followers of this religion live in almost all regions of the country. The infographics, timed to the 16th Annual Meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, shows the regions of Russian Muslims’ compact settlement, the growth in their number, and the increase in the number of mosques.
