Olga Golovanova, Head of the Valdai Club Press Service, Awarded the Peter Boenisch Prize

On Monday, October 8, Olga Golovanova, head of the Valdai Club press service, was awarded the Peter Boenisch Prize in the framework of the Russian-German Petersburger Dialog. The prize honors one of the most prominent representatives of German journalism, founder and the first chairman of the Russian-German forum.

The executive team of the Valdai Club and Olga’s colleagues sincerely congratulate her on receiving this well-deserved award, wishing her new victories in the professional field!

The Peter Boenisch Award is given to journalists for works that reliably depict reality in the two countries. Olga Golovanova submitted three interviews for the competition: with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, with his successor Sigmar Gabriel, and with Patricia Flor, the German Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Disarmament and Arms Control. 

The prize was awarded on Monday, October 8, at the 17th Russian-German forum in the presence of Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Gazprom, Chairman of the forum’s Russian Coordination Committee, Ronald Pofalla, a retired federal minister and the forum’s Chairman of the Board from the German side, Andrei Fursenko, aide to the Russian President, Sergey Nechayev, Russian Ambassador to Berlin, Rüdiger von Fritsch, German Ambassador to Moscow, Vitaly Ignatenko, President of the World Association of the Russian Press, and Johan Michael Möller, forum member of the board.
