The 2019 European Parliament Election: An Expert Discussion. Speakers

On May 27, 2019, at 11:00, the Valdai Discussion Club will host an expert discussion on the results of the European Parliament elections. Elections to the European Parliament will be held from May 23 to 26 May in 28 EU member countries. Following the results, 751 MPs will be elected, who will represent more than 512 million Europeans. How will the election results affect EU policy? Will the policy of the European Parliament change if the Eurosceptics win? What coalitions will be formed in the European Parliament? What will happen to the UK MEPs if the UK leaves the EU? What impact will this election have on Russia-EU relations? How will the future dialogue between Russian and European legislators look? The participants of the expert discussion will answer these and other questions.
