On June 28, 2017, the Valdai Discussion Club and RVC will hold an expert discussion ("Meeting Point" conference hall, Entrance 9, 5th floor, Okhotny Ryad st. 2, Moscow, Russia), titled "Media of the Future: Technological Trends and Socio-Cultural Implications".
The discussion is organized in partnership with MediaNet Working Group, which works on the concept of future markets development related to creation, distribution and monetization of content, ways of its delivery and control, as well as communications between people and information networks.
During the discussion the participants and speakers will discuss possible ways of the technological market development for content creation and distribution, options for the media development and transformation, the socio-cultural and political consequences of this transformation and the connected challenges and risks.
The participants will answer the following questions:
What technological achievements will soon change the formats of information delivery and communication?
How do new technologies transform media and communications today and what formats are expected in the future?
What are the socio-cultural and political consequences of the media and communications transformation today and on the horizon of 2035?
