Briefing for Journalists Following the Closed-Door Iran-Russia Discussion

On April 19, at 17.00, a briefing for journalists will be held at the Valdai Discussion Club Conference hall (Bolshaya Tatarskaya, 42, Moscow Russia) following the results of the closed-door Iran-Russia discussion.

Russian-Iranian relations have gone far beyond the framework of bilateral contacts. Both states pursue active policies in the Middle East and the Eurasian space, exerting a growing influence on global processes. At the same time, Moscow and Tehran became objects of renewed growing pressure from the administration of the United States under President Trump. Of particular importance is a coordinated position, mutual understanding between the two countries. The views of Moscow and Tehran on the most pressing international problems were discussed at a round table with Russian and Iranian experts, which was held under the auspices of the Valdai Discussion Club and the Iranian Institute of Political and International Studies.
